The Good Times Roll for Wittenburg at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open

Titleist golf ball loyalist Casey Wittenberg relied on a Pro V1 golf ball to secure his third career Web.com Tour title, capturing the Chitimacha Louisiana Open by three shots.

Wittenberg, who owned a 6-shot overnight lead, fired four consecutive rounds in the 60’s en route to a 21-under-par 263 victory total. He closed with a 2-under-par 69.

It marks Wittenberg’s first victory since 2012 when he won twice, including a record-setting performance at this event for his first career crown. Wittenburg's 21-under-par total was the second-lowest aggregate score in tournament history, just three shots off the mark he set in 2012.

“I feel comfortable down here,” said Wittenberg, who was the Web.com Tour’s leading money winner in that 2012 season. “With my dad playing at LSU and coming to Baton Rouge a lot growing up, it’s a little like a second home in a weird way. I’m staying with some great people, and it makes for a fun, relaxing week.”

Wittenberg topped a leaderboard that included three Titleist golf ball players among the top four, and 11 of the 15 who finished in the top 10 and ties.

Congratulations, Casey!

TITLEIST BY THE NUMBERS

Titleist was the overwhelming top choice in golf balls at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open with 99 players, more than six times the nearest competitor with 16.

The win is the 4th for Titleist golf ball loyalists through the first five Web.com events this season.

Wittenberg joins Kyle Thompson (Pro V1x), Andrew Landry (Pro V1x) and Ethan Tracy (Pro V1x) in the 2017 Titleist Winners Circle.
