Below is a closer look at the Titleist equipment used by Titleist Brand Ambassador Rory McIlroy in his record-breaking U.S. Open victory at Congressional, from his Titleist Pro V1x golf ball to his Scotty Cameron GSS prototype putter.
(The only piece of metal not made by Titleist in these pictures, of course, is the U.S. Open trophy.)
Rory marks his Titleist Pro V1x with a black dot over the number. He marks his Vokey Design Spin Milled wedges and his Scotty Cameron putter with the same thing you always see on the back of his Titleist cap: His nickname, "Rors."
"My mum actually called me Rory because she thought it couldn't have a nickname or it couldn't be shortened, and then my dad came up with 'Rors,' " he told PGATour.com. "So she was very happy about that."Below are the details of Rory's TItleist equipment as well as some pictures inside his bag, including the new Circle T U.S.A. headcover that loyal Scotty Cameron players were given last week. Enjoy!Ball: Titleist Pro V1x Driver: Titleist 910D2 8.5º, C•2 SureFit Tour hosel setting (Fujikura Rombax 7V05) 3-wood: Titleist 906F2 13º (Fujikura Pro95) 5-wood: Titleist 906F2 18º (Fujikura Pro95) Irons: Titleist MB 3-9 (Project X Steel) Wedges: Vokey Design Spin Milled 248•10º (bent to 46º), SM54•10º, 60Lº (Project X Steel) Putter: Scotty Cameron GSS prototype (chromatic bronze finish)
I want that putter cover soooo bad!!

Nice equipment and congrats to Rory. His 2010 Quail Hollow victory foreshadowed this type of domination. The kid has game.

What does 'Camico' and 'GSS' on his putter represents?

I am so happy to see him do so well. I look forward to seeing Rory take on the field and capture the position of Worlds' number one player. Good luck to you Rory.

I always believed Titleist eq. was superior, and this proves it. Great win for Rory and Titelist.

Can anyone tell me what kind of grip McIlroy used on his putter? Thanks!

Awesome tournament for Rory! Congrats! Cool Titleist equipment. I wondered if his driver was D2 or D3, now I know. Makes me feel even better about my 910 D2 and 910 3Fd(if that is possible) (all 4 910H hybrids too!) Love that Cameron Prototype putter. I'm envious as well for one of those covers for my Cameron Catalina.(vintage 97-98)

If you guys were part of the scotty cameron club you would have been able to purchase that head cover for $72. Now you may be able to find it on ebay for $150!!
