Hello Everybody,

I've been meaning to write for a few days now and the days keep getting away from me. It's been a good end to the season and I've been enjoying some down time. I was pleased with finishing the year with 4 top ten finishes including winning my first national championship on home soil! I've been close at home, but I never got over the line until this year. I think winning the Australian Open makes it even sweeter. Unfortunately I had to go through about six months of just playing pretty awful but that's how the game is. I feel like my game is stronger and I'm definitely a better player and learned a great deal by going through the rough patch. It was also very special that Greg Norman was at the Aussie Open and presented me with the trophy. He's always been so generous with the countless bits of advice on the game and so many other things. Greg showed me how much he believed in me this year and although I wish I could have played well at Harding Park at least I had the opportunity to share my victory at NSW Golf Club with him. We travel the world all year and only get three weeks a year to show our stuff at home so it is great to have my first win in Australia and looking forward to many more.

I can hardly believe the holidays are here, not sure where the year has gone! I've been enjoying some time with friends and family and getting into the spirit of the season. I plan on taking a couple of weeks off and then will begin preparing for 2010. I just want to take a moment to say thanks again to everyone that supported my Foundation this year. I appreciate everyone that made a donation, donated their time and of course a special thank you to all of our sponsors. We couldn't change the lives of our youth without each and every person that's been a part of our mission. I will have some exciting announcements on my Foundation in the next couple of months and I look forward to sharing them with you soon.

As the 2009 season comes to a close across the worldwide professional golf tours, we'd like to recognize two Titleist Brand Ambassadors whose consistent play throughout the year has earned them special honors as their respective tour's Order of Merit winners. Scott Strange won the inaugural OneAsia Order of Merit title after rounding out the season with a joint runner-up finish at the Australian PGA Championship. And Michael Sim (who was named 2009 Nationwide Player of the Year and whose three victories on the Nationwide Tour in 2009 earned him a "battlefield promotion" to the PGA Tour in 2010) also took top honors on the Australasian Tour, edging out Pro V1x loyalist Alistair Presnell and fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Peter O'Malley

The 25-year-old Sim played his way to the top of the Australian Order of Merit with a tie for fifth place at the Australian PGA Championship on Sunday. His Order of Merit win grants him exemptions into both the 2010 US Open, at Pebble Beach, and The 139th Open Championship, at St Andrews. As a world top 50-ranked player at the end of the year, he has also qualified for the 2010 Masters at Augusta National. Sim played in seven events on the Australasian Tour, collecting $315,087 in offical earnings. Click here more details. Scott Strange kicked off the new OneAsia Tour in style in 2009. In April he captured the first-ever OneAsia event, the Volvo China Open, which was co-sanctioned by the European PGA Tour. The 32-year-old Australian then finished in a tie for 12th place at this month’s Australian Open. Along with his strong showing at the Australian PGA Championship, Strange finished the 2009 campaign with $505,783 in offical earnings on the OneAsia money list. The fledgling OneAsia Tour was launched in 2009 in order to provide an elite series of professional golf events staged across the Asia-Pacific region. The organization is a partnership between the China Golf Association (CGA), the Korean Golf Association (KGA), the Korean PGA and the PGA of Australia. The 2009 schedule featured five events and plans are in place to increase the number to 12 to 15 in the year 2010, and 17 to 20 in 2011. Titleist Brand Ambassador Adam Scott finished second to Strange on the OneAsia Order of Merit, with $274,579 in offical earnings, due in large part to his impressive victory at the Australian Open. Scott would have edged out Michael Sim for top honors on the Australasian Tour, but he did not play in the required number of events in order to be considered. Hello Everybody,

Just writing from Coolum at the Australian PGA Championship. It's Wednesday evening and I'm about to go out and grab some dinner. I am coming off a really fantastic win last week at the Aussie Open and was very pleased with my play. It's an amazing feeling to put four solid rounds together.

Adam raises the Stonehaven Cup.

We had a bit of a rocky start during the second round and play was suspended for over 5 hours due to the wind gusts! Once we resumed play or started play for the 2nd round things felt right. I was overwhelmed on Sunday when I held the Stonehaven Cup. The Australian Open is definitely a tournament you dream about as a kid and to be presented the trophy by your childhood idol is a memory that will last a lifetime. I was humbled by the thought of winning and even more so when Greg Norman handed me the Cup.

I feel like I have worked extremely hard and the results are starting to happen for me. Golf is such an interesting sport. There were times over the past year that I couldn't quite find my way so I decided just to get back to the basic principles that I was taught at a very young age. I've worked really hard on the basic fundamentals and principles of the sport and obviously these are the key components for a good result. It's been a challenging year but I've learned a great deal and feel that it's made me stronger. In any event, I'm looking forward to tournament play tomorrow. I'm paired with Geoff Ogilivy and Michael Sim so it should be a great time. This is my last tournament of the year and I am focused on finishing the year off right. I'll write more early next week!
