Kenny Perry
Fairhaven, MA (May 23, 2005) - Kenny Perry scorched the field amid the Fort Worth heat at the Bank of America Colonial, matching the tournament scoring record of 19-under par 261 he set in his 2003 win. Perry's performance also established new 36-hole (-12) and 54-hole (-18) scoring marks for the event and his 72-hole total and 7-stroke margin of victory was the best on the PGA Tour this year. A Pro V1x loyalist, the win was the ninth of Perry's career and his second this year after also winning the Bay Hill Invitational in March.

Titleist also was the choice of Nissan Irish Open champion Stephen Dodd in a playoff, as well as D.A. Weibring at the Bruno's Memorial Classic and Nationwide Tour winner Chad Collins at the Henrico County Open. With additional wins on the LPGA and Asian tours, Titleist players turned in another sizzling six-win week, increasing Titleist worldwide victory count to 57, more than all other golf balls combined.

PGA TOUR
Kenny Perry became the 10th player with multiple victories in the storied history of the Colonial. Perry topped a leaderboard that included 4 Titleist players among the top 5 finishers, including runner-up Billy Mayfair (Pro V1x), as well as Joe Durant (Pro V1x) and David Toms (Pro V1) who finished among a three-way tie for third.

Billy Mayfair
In addition to relying upon the Pro V1x golf ball, Billy Mayfair played the new Titleist Pro Titanium 905S driver to tie for first in Driving Accuracy with Pro V1 player Fred Funk. Both players hit 40 of 56 fairways to top the field at 71.4%.

Mayfair also trusted his Titleist Pro Trajectory 904F 3-wood, Titleist Forged 804OS irons (2-P) and Vokey Design sand and lob wedges to lead the tournament in Greens in Regulation at 81.9% (59 of 72).

Perry's win is the 10th by a Titleist player on the 2005 PGA Tour, more than twice the nearest competitor.

Titleist topped the golf ball count with 78 players in the field compared to 15 for the nearest competitor. Titleist also was the top choice in iron sets, utility irons, wedges and putters.
Stephen Dodd
PGA EUROPEAN TOUR: It was a Titleist golf ball playoff at the Nissan Irish Open as Pro V1 player Stephen Dodd topped Pro V1x loyalist David Howell with a birdie on the first extra hole. It marked the second career PGA European Tour title for Dodd. Howell forced the playoff after playing the final four holes of regulation in three-under par, including an eagle on number 15 and a birdie on the finishing hole to match Dodd's 9-under 279. It is the second consecutive runner-up finish for Howell who lost in a playoff at last week's British Masters. Titleist topped the golf ball count at the Irish Open with 118 players in the field compared to 21 for the nearest competitor.

LPGA TOUR: At 18 years old, the Sybase Big Apple Classic winner became the second youngest player (and the youngest since 1952) to win on the LPGA Tour. Relying upon the Pro V1x golf ball, she converted a 17-foot birdie putt on the final hole to edge Jeong Jang (Pro V1) and Gloria Park (Pro V1x) by one shot, giving Titleist players a 1-2-3 finish. Nearly five times as many players relied upon Titleist (109) golf balls than the nearest competitor (22).
D.A. Weibring
CHAMPIONS TOUR: It was a Titleist Pro V1 1-2-3 finish on the Champions Tour as well, as D.A. Weibring fired a bogey-free final round of 3-under 69 to win the Bruno's Memorial Classic. Weibring finished at 15-under 201, two shots clear of Tom Jenkins and Tom Kite, to secure his third career Champions Tour title. Kite moved into contention on Saturday after firing a tournament record-tying 9-under 63. More than four times as many players relied upon Titleist golf balls (58) than the nearest competitor (13).

NATIONWIDE TOUR: Pro V1 player Chad Collins shot a final round 5-under 67 to win the Henrico County Open by two shots over Pro V1x player Tom Scherrer. It marked the first career Nationwide Tour title for Collins who finished at 21-under 267. Pro V1 player Dicky Pride shot a final round 10-under par 62 to join Jon Mills (Pro V1x), Bill Lunde (Pro V1x) and Ken Duke (Pro V1) in a four-way tie for third at 18-under 270, as Titleist players owned the first six positions on the leaderboard. More than seven times as many players relied upon Titleist golf balls (106) than the nearest competitor (15).

ASIAN TOUR: The Pro V1 was the choice of champion Adam Le Vesconte in his victory at the Philippine Open. Le Vesconte closed with a 7-under par 64 for a winning total of 12-under 272 and a four-stroke margin of victory.
